The legendary signature of the city, this landmark is dipped in history. Surrounded by Mecca Masjid, which is built using the bricks from Mecca, and a populous shopping street, this epic monument is built at the heart of the city. It was built in 1591 CE by the fifth sultan, Muahammad Quli Qutub Shah. Char Minar has become one among the most recognized structures of India.
Golkonda fort, located 11 Km away from the urban Hyderabad, is open for visitors everyday from 9 am to 5:30 pm. Originally built purely in mud on a 400 feet hill, the fort has seen rise and fall of many dynasties. The fort derives its name from a Telugu word meaning 'Shepherd's Hill'. The fort is in ruins today but still attracts hordes of tourists to explore the magnificent architecture. It is definitely one of the historical places in Hyderabad and is a must visit.
Birla Mandir was constructed by Swami Raganathananda belonging to Ramakrishna Mission. It was mounted on the 'Naubath Pahad'. The architecture of the temple is a blend of Dravidian, Rajasthani and Utkala architectures. Selected teachings of holy men and Gurbani are engraved on temple walls. There are no traditional bells in the temple, as Swami Ranganathananda wished that the atmosphere should be conducive for meditation.
Falaknuma Palace spread across 32 acres of land, is the place in Hyderabad that displays its grandeur in the apt fashion. It was built by Nawab Vikar-ul-Umra, Prime Minister of Hyderabad during the reign of Nizam. Falak-numa means 'Like the Sky' in Urdu. The structure of the palace resembles the shape of a scorpion with two stings spreading out as wings and is a rare blend of Italian and Tudor architecture. The palace was not open to the public until 2000. Later, Taj Hotels started renovating and restoring the palace and was opened to the public in 2010.

Ramoji film city has a magical theme around cinema and since people in India are crazy after Bollywood, hence it makes its way to every traveler's bucket list. Features include various categories of entertainment suited for every individual despite the age. There are stage shows being performed at almost any hour during the day. Located near Mir Alam Tank in Hyderabad, Nehru Zoological Park is around 50 years old and is undoubtedly one of the most visited destinations in the city.
